| Adults - Small Groups |
|
We want everyone to have the opportunity to be known and
cared for and to find their niche in ministry. People grow faster
spiritually in a caring, interactive group where they can feel free to ask
their real questions and sense the support of the group.
Groups will differ as people’s needs and interests differ. Whether curious
and cautious or wholly committed, people connect with God and one another
when a safe group accepts them for who they are. Lives are formed and
transformed in small groups when people meet together to pray, to study, to
engage in fellowship, or to work on a specific task.
WHAT GOES ON? In
a Small Group setting you can ask questions, participate in discussion, and
hear others share insights of the truth you may be trying to grasp. The
greatest benefit is the close friendships that develop. In praying together
with others, we are drawn together and find answers to needs in our lives.
Private concerns shared with your small group stay with your small group.
Small Groups provide excellent support in times of crisis, change or stress.
Your friends, believing and unbelieving, are always welcome in a safe
environment. HOW DO I GET CONNECTED? Contact the Trinity office anytime or speak with Chuck Jostad, Minister of Discipleship, at 526-0592 or Mike
Caskey, Elder for Small Groups Commission at
838-6380. Please fill out an
interest form and you will be invited by a Small Group leader to attend a
meeting within one week. Child care is handled individually by each group. Some groups do not offer child care. Some may provide child care in another room of the meeting house, and some groups include children in the meeting. If child care is a concern for you, let us know so we can direct you to a group that can serve you best. |
