Becky Pombo, Minister to Children - Becky joined the TUPC staff in 1985 as our minister to children after teaching at Trinity Nursery School. She is all things crafty and creative, which ensures our children have an interesting and vibrant program. Becky is a proud mother to a son and daughter who have blessed her with 5 grandchildren. Becky is an enthusiastic part of our staff, with a heart for children and the unique needs they have.

Richard Colla

Richard Colla, Minister of Music and Worship - Rich Colla has been the heart and soul of TUPC's music ministry since joining us in 1990. Rich received his bachelor of music degree with honors from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in vocal performance, and his Master of Music degree at the University of Illinois in choral conducting. He and his wife Ginger are very active in the music community of Modesto, appearing frequently in recitals, providing choral workshops and teaching at Modesto Jr. College.

Dan Navarra

Dan Navarra, Minister to Youth- Dan was born and raised in the Danville, CA and joined the team at Trinity as our Minister to Youth in February of 2010. He comes to Trinity from the Bay Area where he completed his undergrad degree at Cal State East Bay with a BA in Philosophy, emphasizing religion, and then continued on to Fuller Theological Seminary (Menlo Park Campus) where he has been pursuing his Masters of Divinity while also working in ministry. Dan has a passion for raising up leaders who are fully-devoted followers of Christ while also having fun along the way! If he's not hanging with students you can find him probably eating pizza, playing or watching baseball (Go Giants!), wakeboarding, playing guitar, or riding his motorcycle. Follow Dan on Twitter!

Cindy Zellman

Cindy Zellman, Business Administrator - Born in Ceres, CA, Cindy Zellman was involved at our sister church, Harvest Presbyterian Church as a child. She graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a bachelor's in business, emphasizing accounting. While in college, Cindy worked on staff at Calvin Crest where she met her husband, David. They were married in 1980 and they worked on full time staff at Calvin Crest together. After the birth of their first son, Matthew, they returned to Modesto where they went on to have 2 more children, Andrew and Rebecca. Cindy was the business administrator at TUPC from 1984 to 1997 when she decided to work at Atherton and Associates. She returned in TUPC in the summer of 2009. |

Lamar Kerr-Owens

Lamar Kerr-Ownes, Minister to Young Adults and Contemporary Worship- Born in Palo Alto, California, Lamar Kerr-Owens moved to Modesto as a young child. Living near Trinity helped Lamar plug into the church’s REALM ministry, where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior. Since then Lamar has accumulated a rich history of mission-minded leadership, including serving as maintenance Coordinator and Lead Counselor at Calvin Crest, Summer Operation Staff Coordinator with Presbyterian Camps and Conference Centers, Inc., Youth Advisory Delegate to General Assembly 2006, and Co-Interim Youth Director at TUPC. Lamar’s musical talent and relational approach to ministry allow him to encourage spiritual growth while keeping things “fun.” In his free time Lamar experiments with new recipes, plays guitar and relaxes with his wife, Joy and their dog, Beowulf.

Chuck Jostad

Chuck Jostad, Minister of Discipleship - Chuck joined the TUPC staff in 2001 as a part-time minister of discipleship. Overseeing our small groups and Stephen ministry, Chuck brings a welcoming spirit to those seeking a deeper relationship with Christ. Together with his wife Sandy, Chuck is active in the music ministry at Trinity and currently teaches high school history.
