They said, "Rabbi" (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?"
"Come," he replied, "and you will see." So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him. -John 1:38b-39
| "Come and See" is our 10 week discipleship course designed for you to do as the first disciples did, to come and see who Jesus is.
This class is designed for those who wish to come, ask questions, and fully understand who Jesus is and what it means to be an official member of the congregation. | |
If you wish to attend classes to learn, to question, to engage in thoughtful debate, please do so!
The steps toward membership are simple. Attend 7 of the 10 classes which are held periodically, usually on Sunday afternoons between 2pm and 4pm. Indicate the manner in which you desire to join either through a confession of faith, a letter of transfer from a church where you have been a member or a re-affirmation of faith (if you have not been active in another congregation). Meet with the elders of the church, share how you came to know Christ, and why you wish to join the church. Our church's guiding document, The Book of Order, requires the elders on session to decide who shall be received into membership.
You will then be publicly welcomed as a member during a worship service in which you affirm the questions asked to you by the Session. Once you have joined the church officially, you may vote in congregational meetings and hold office.
Classes are currently meeting Sundays, 3-5pm in the church office Conference Room. Childcare is provided. If you would like more information about "Come and See", please contact
