What Our Family Believes. . .

We are seeking to form a community of people unreservedly devoted to God, delighting the heart of God and serving Him with joy. We are intentional in loving people and growing disciples alive with authentic relationships, real relationships with Jesus and committed to one another. We believe that salvation is merely the first step in a continuing lifelong process of discipleship within a community of Christ followers led by the Holy Spirit seeking to be relevant to people’s needs. Within the Presbyterian Church (USA) we are part of the Confessing Church Movement, which affirms the following statements:

We believe that there is one God, Who is sovereign and eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and Whom we worship as the living and true God
We believe that God's ultimate and eternal purpose for human beings is fellowship with and enjoyment of Him. We were created in God's Own image and He loves us more than we can imagine. Lost people matter to God, and therefore matter to us.
We believe that Jesus is God showing Himself to us. Jesus was fully God and fully human and now is Head of the Church and Lord over all creation. God gave His Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sins, which separate us from relationship with God. We believe in His bodily resurrection and gives the living hope of eternal life. We believe that Jesus Christ alone is Lord of all and the way of salvation and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
We believe that Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God and faith in Jesus reconciles us to God by the power of the Holy Spirit and is the only way to grow in our relationship with God.
Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through us now. He connects us in relationship with God and transforms us more and more like Jesus. As He indwells us, we are enabled to live a godly life and equipped for ministry to one another and the world.
The Bible is the Triune God's inspired, revealed, true and living Word of God. It is the Church’s only infallible, authoritative rule of faith and life. It is an amazing account of God's faithfulness and Love for all of us, and a manual for the way we live our lives.
We believe those who put their faith in Christ are spiritually united with Christ, enter into the new covenant community called the Church. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. The church should operate as a unified community of servants with men and women using their spiritual gifs.
We believe that life-change happens best in small groups.
Jesus is coming again.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved to the resurrection of life, and the lost to the resurrection of eternal separation from God.

Built on a foundation of prayer and empowered by the Holy Spirit, our community practices a variety of disciplines to nurture the likeness of Jesus, including. . .

. . .celebrating oneness of life in Jesus Christ through WORSHIP which attributes worth to God and celebrates His presence.

. . .cultivating oneness of faith through the teaching, nurturing and maturation of truth in Jesus Christ.

. . .encouraging oneness of love through caring fellowship for one another in Jesus Christ.

. . .communicating Jesus Christ to the world through evangelism and mission.
