Believers in Christ are to come together in love, faith, and encouragement. This is "Koinonia," the Greek word for fellowship or community. We have adopted this sincere fellowship in the way our choir performs, with faith, encouragement and unity.
The Koinonia Choir regularly sings in first service and is a fun and diverse group. Our Director of Music Ministry, Rich Colla, and organist Grace Brummel direct and accompany this ensemble. The vocalists in this group gather every Wednesday night at 7 p.m. for rehearsal in the sanctuary. New singers are welcome to join any time! Please talk to Rich Colla after worship or come to rehearsal in the sanctuary on Thursdays to learn more.
We also feature Men's and Women's gender-specific ensembles periodically. Our men's ensemble, is the Messengers, and our women's ensemble is entitled One Voice. To find out more information about joining either group, please contact Rich Colla
ECHOES OF JOY HANDBELLS
Echoes of Joy is a very active handbell choir group within the TUPC music ministry. This ensemble participates in worship about once a month, and also is active in outreach to nursing homes, festivals and conventions. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 5:30 until 6:45.
Ringing in the handbell choir is an excellent way to build musicianship skill. Classes in basic bell ringing are offered every summer for those who have no experience in ringing. All experienced ringers can become immediately involved as ringers or substitute ringers.
Contact Rich Colla for more information -- or just show up for rehearsal to get started!
