Bulletproof Marriage

We live in a troubled society, and those maintaining order and justice are some of the most overworked, unappreciated, and underpaid. The nature of their jobs is taxing both personally and on their marriages. Bulletproof Marriage applies biblical principles of military members, law enforcement officers, and first responders.

Safety Gates for Marriage

During the first years of our marriage, we soon realized that we would have to set boundaries, lay down rules - so to speak - and talk about the values we wanted to build on as a couple going forward in a fruitful marriage. In this 4- day reading plan, we share a few of these principles with you.

The Next Year of Marriage

This is a series of seven devotions that ideally would be completed around a couple's anniversary. Its focus is on improving your relationship during the next year, and it focuses on a series of promises tied to the character of God.

Five of the most important lessons learned in our first year of marriage.
Shared by four couples.
  • Share chores; just because they're good at one thing (ex. cooking) or like doing it, doesn't mean they want to always be the only one.

  • Communication is important with everything!

  • The little things you do for one another matter. Do something nice for the other just because.

It doesn't have to be big.

  • Be quick to say "I'm sorry, you're right." And say "I love you" often.

  •  Make the mundane things fun. Like play rock, paper, scissors to see who pays for the groceries.

“Women were created from the rib of man to be beside him, not from is head to top him, nor from his feet to be trampled by him, but from under his arm to be protected by him, near to his heart to be loved by him.”
Matthew Henry
